First three Green Cases Intectica group supports for free.
Now, for the details.
Hearing the word marketplace, many of you will think of familiar sites like Wildberries and Rozetka – there is a buyer, there is a seller, a buyer purchase goods from a seller. However, goods can also be technologies, and payments are replaced with investments.
In 2013, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) established a public-private partnership for the exchange of technologies – WIPO GREEN. In fact, WIPO GREEN is an online platform with a database where green tech creators can upload the information about their products to provide them with global visibility and attract partners who want to commercialize, license or otherwise distribute green technologies.
Anyone can create a WIPO account for free and register as a WIPO GREEN user. However, only institutions can publish their offers and technologies; individuals have one opportunity – to contact with other users.
Among the active users of WIPO GREEN you can find many industrial giants, for example, Fujitsu, Toyota, Shiseido, Canon, Sumitomo, etc. From a geographical point of view, most of the participants live in Japan, the USA, Switzerland and India.
It is worth noting that WIPO itself does not provide financial support, but allows users to contact other users through the database itself or at specially organized events to explore partnership opportunities.
For example, in 2018, during the Green Technology Matchmaking Event, introduction of Green School and Zero Mass Water took place. By the way, Green School is distinguished by its special, more ecological, approach to organizing the learning space. The school has installed renewable energy sources, water filtration systems and a composting station, and also uses biodiesel buses and implements recycling technologies and aquaponics. However, at that time, the school needed a drinking water generation system. Therefore, in the same 2018, six SOURCE Hydropanel panels were installed in the Indonesian branch of Green School, which generate water from the air. Briefly, air from the environment passes through a fan into a special system developed by Zero Mass Water, where the moisture from the air is converted into water. Then, the water passes through a “mineral” block, in which it is enriched with magnesium and calcium, turning into drinking water. According to Zero Mass Water representatives, over the shelf life of SOURCE Hydropanel panel, it can replace 50,000 units of bottled water.
In general, more information about the capabilities of WIPO GREEN can be found at the link: https://www3.wipo.int/wipogreen.
And while patenting is not required to participate on the WIPO GREEN platform, remember that any technology, green or not, needs to be protected. Where? In INTECTICA. We will now try this platform for one of our clients. If you are interested in participating and putting your technology into practice using this platform, please contact. At this stage, we are studying the capabilities of the system, so we will take 3 cases to work on the platform for free.
